As restrictions start to lift, we’re all wondering how travel will move forward in 2021. It’s been a long time since most of us ventured further than our front gardens, never mind abroad.

But it seems the possibility of travel opening up again is bringing with it a possibility of thinking outside the box...going places we might never have thought of, and doing it in ways we might never have dreamed.

And, while many of us may not have considered it before, it seems group travel could be the way to go post pandemic.

Specialist group travel experts GoKo Travels plan to resume running group tours again from June this year, and have revealed how it will be possible to travel following the crisis and why travellers shouldn’t be writing off the possibility of a group tour this year.

And it seems relying on the experts could be the preferred travel option this year.

GoKo Travels has reported an increased interest in small group trips that involve hiking and extended time outdoors, as well as trips to more remote locations.

The firm says customers seem to feel that these kinds of tours are the safest option for holidays in 2021, and the biggest concern from many potential travellers is whether they will have to quarantine on arrival in a new country or when returning home.

The next few months should tell us what’s possible in terms of travel restrictions – but if you are in a position to travel safely, group trip companies can take the stress out of holiday plans by ensuring safe, compliant travel. They’ll ensure social distancing, hand hygiene and they will keep you right on local laws regarding Covid-19 testing and vaccines.

It’s safe to say that the majority of the world’s population are desperate to get out and travel as soon as restrictions allow, with many people using their time in lockdown to compile ultimate bucket lists of destinations they want to visit as soon as possible.

And group trips could be the perfect way to try something new, offering exciting experiences, the chance to meet new people and unique chances to see more of the country that you visit, guided by local experts.

Many firms are offering free date changes if restrictions put a dampener on your plans and refunds should trips need to be cancelled due to Covid-19.

So, even if it’s not one for this year, give it some thought. Joining others could introduce a new dimension to travel in the years to come.
