Star: Mum saved me
Wrestling champion Drew McIntyre believes his late mother “sent” his future wife to save him.
The Scot’s glittering WWE career was in tatters when he hit the bottle after mum Angela died in 2012.
The 35-year-old, from Ayr, met his wife Kaitlyn at a bar in Tampa, Florida, a year later and turned his life and career around.
“I wasn’t burning the candle at both ends,” McIntyre said. “The whole candle was on fire. I just missed mum being in the world.”
