I can’t believe North Bridge in Edinburgh isn’t reopening until 2025, years behind schedule. This is one of the most important roads in our capital city, a long stone’s throw from our parliament. They should be spending whatever it takes, working around the clock to sort out whatever problems they have uncovered. We can spend £300 million on ferries that will never be finished but it takes five years to sort a bridge out?

Other countries get this stuff done and done quickly and if it wasn’t being done, the people would be up in arms. Instead, we just shrug and moan. We have been beaten down by incompetence. We need a revolution. Kelly Marshall, Edinburgh
