Can parents pass results-day test?

Thank goodness exams results day is over. It’s an agonising time of year. As usual the TV cameras get the reaction of the students as they nervously get their grades, but what about the parents? Spare a thought for the mums and dads who have to hover anxiously outside the kids’ doors until they deign to wake up and open the envelope.

I had to wait two hours for my daughter to put me out of my misery. Thankfully, it’s the last time for us. Next year I think next my colleagues at Scottish Television should have their lenses trained on the parents to get their reactions. To heck with the pupils.
