Come on, Serena, make your point

Tennis icon Serena Williams has announced she will “evolve away from tennis” after the next US Open. I think she means she is retiring, but I can’t quite fathom why she doesn’t just say that.

I blame Gwyneth Paltrow and her “conscious uncoupling” from her then husband Chris Martin for the start of this celebrity gobbledygook. Why not just say what you mean?
