A 9,000-egg cake? Beat that
It’s a daunting recipe but the headline begins: “Take 9,180 Eggs...” above a story about a record-breaking bake.
“Cooks from four hotels worked a week to bake a 1,070foot cake in the Yugoslavian resort of Portoroz. The cake, said to be the world’s largest, was laid along the beach and sold to tourists. Ingredients included 9,180 eggs, a ton of sugar, 1,364 pounds of margarine, almost 670lbs of butter and 540lbs of flour.”
