Bus skids into disabled man

“Dundee man with an artificial leg is in Dundee Royal Infirmary after being knocked down by a skidding bus less than 100 yards from his home,” read The Post.

“Mr Robert Whyte was returning from a walk to Dudhope Park. The bus was going to the city centre when it went out of control going down the Infirmary Brae. The bus careered across the greasy road towards the footway. Passengers were thrown to the floor. Mr Whyte, who had been walking on the pavement, was taken to the Infirmary by a passing ambulance.”
