Dark fantasy co-written and directed by Mad Max’s George Miller.While attending a conference in Istanbul, Dr Alithea Binnie (Tilda Swinton) encounters a djinn (Idris Elba) (above) who offers her three wishes in exchange for his freedom.

She doubts he’s real and, being a scholar, she knows all the cautionary tales of wishes gone wrong. He pleads his case by telling fantastical stories of his past and, eventually, she makes a wish that surprises both.
