Loch A’An, Cairngorms National Park

“Loch A’An is incredible. It is one of the biggest adventures in the book. It was this huge hike to the loch, four to five hours each way. The snow was clinging to all the mountains around us and the water was absolutely freezing. But looking up at Ben Macdui and Cairn Gorm above us was absolutely epic. We were in the mountains and that high-level swimming was amazing.”
