“We went to the archipelago on my 31st birthday. During the three-hour trip from Harris, with beautiful yellowed-headed gannets flying alongside, we saw Minke whale and porpoises and as we pulled into Village Bay on the main island of Hirta we were met by more seals than I’ve ever seen in my life. We spent a glorious day exploring on foot. Before leaving this historic land, we had to enter its alluring clear blue waters for a swim.”
