Enough, Covid is not to blame for everything

I’m just back from a break up north but our accommodation wouldn’t let us book in until 5pm and had us out at 10am. I remember not so long ago when you could get your key at three and check out at noon. There was no reduction in the price, of course. As if.

We were told the rooms had to be deep-cleaned because of Covid. I didn’t see much evidence of it but everyone else is using it as an excuse, so why not hotels? If it’s not Covid, it’s Brexit.

It’s given everyone, from hotels to hospitals, a catch-all excuse for some really crumby service. I know it’s tough for businesses but they should try to explain what’s going on without insulting our intelligence.
