Rocca Ristorante

Location
Right in the heart of Hamilton town, it’s easily accessible and has its own car park out the back with plenty of spaces.
First Impressions
The building is stunning from the outside, and welcomes us with a floral archway round the door. Inside, the modern mix of stone, metallics and pops of bright colour offer a gorgeous dining setting.
Service
We’re greeted by a lovely waiter who brings menus and delivers drinks promptly and politely. Every dish is piping hot and arrives with a great big smile on the side. The service was fantastic throughout.
Menu
It’s pretty big, which is great if you don’t know what you’re in the mood for, but the downside is you’ll be hard pushed to narrow it down. Pizza and pasta feature highly, as well as salads and grills. There’s a healthy selection of starters and the bread and bruscetta options all sound amazing.
Taste
We’re a party of six, so it’s fair to say we get through a fair bit of the menu. From haggis filled breaded mushrooms to king prawns, the starters set the tone for a delicious meal. Mains ranged from pepperoni pizza and penne pasta with meatballs which were incredibly tasty to steak and salmon dishes which also got a big thumbs up. The kids demolished their food in minutes, which is always a good sign.
Ambience
It’s busy, but we feel very relaxed, not rushed, and well looked after.
Price
At just over £110 for four adults and two children, Rocca is a restaurant and one we will happily revisit. They do a pre-theatre deal which is great value.
