Take a compliment

Regarding your article about passing on compliments (Francis Gay, last week).

On returning home after visiting my bank branch, I tried to pass on my compliments to

a member of staff over the telephone. I had received what I thought was excellent service with a smile. After a long call, I was told they only had a system to record complaints, and no system to record compliments. I have taken this up with them as a complaint!
