Rat’s all we need after strike woes

I like to think I’m quite a hardy soul, and I’m not easily phased. But one thing, or rather animal, freaks me out – the rat.

Most of the towers of rubbish which have been such a blot on the Edinburgh landscape during the festival have been cleared, but experts saying the rodents who came to feast on the smorgasbord of garbage will now be heading into homes and businesses looking for food.

Pest controllers are predicting a massive rise in calls for help. Well, at least somebody’s happy.
