Back together on big screen

Reunited and it feels so good. Forty-seven years after Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson last acted together, it was revealed last week that they are to star in a new film, The Great Escaper.

The Oscar-winning actors play a married couple in the film, which is inspired by the true story of a Second World War veteran who escaped from his care home to attend the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

It says so much about their star staying power that at the grand old ages of 89 and 86 they’re still seen as box office.
