Willie Johnston was sent off in the second half of Rangers’ 2-1 victory over Partick Thistle at Ibrox.
The winger scored the winning goal in the 69th minute, but was sent packing shortly afterwards by referee, Ian Foote, after throwing punches in the direction of Jags’ defender, Alex Forsyth.
Motherwell won the Lanarkshire derby at Broomfield. Goals from Kirkie Lawson (above) and Willie McClymont put them in front before John Fury got a consolation for Airdrie.
