Writer-director Kevin Smith ripped up his original script for the third part of his convenience store-set dark comedies after a near-fatal heart attack.

Brian O’Halloran and Jeff Anderson are back as store workers Dante Hicks and Randal Graves, while Ben Affleck, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Rosario Dawson, Jason Mewes and Amy Sedaris also appear.

When Graves survives a heart attack, he wants to make a movie with Hicks about their lives at the Quick Stop.
