Rebus writer Sir Ian Rankin – dubbed the king of Scottish crime fiction – has revealed how he once planned to be an accountant.
The Tartan Noir novelist, 62, said he then changed his mind after he only achieved a C grade in his Higher economics exam and realised that he had no interest in the subject.
