It’s the sleeper hit of the summer from Top Gun: Maverick, charting at No 96 in early June before embarking on a gradual climb and, finally, making the Top 3 two weeks ago. The whistled melody is reminiscent of Peter Bjorn and John’s 2006 earworm Young Folks and, although their track is neither sampled nor covered, the Swedish band receive a songwriting credit.
