Garden of the week

-

Fyvie Castle near Turriff has an 800-year history but part of its historic gardens has undergone a transformation over the last couple of decades.

This includes the Garden of Scottish Fruit, which is filled with heritage apples and pears. This very smart vegetable garden is laid out to resemble the design of the ceiling in the castle’s dining room and among the fruits and vegetables that grow in abundance are hundreds of vivid dahlias that are at their best in September.
