UK ticket holder wins £171m jackpot

A ticket holder in the UK is £171 million richer after scooping the EuroMillions jackpot.

The lucky ticket holder bagged a total prize of £171,815,297.80, according to National Lottery operator Camelot. The winning numbers from Friday’s draw were 14, 15, 22, 35 and 48. The Lucky Star numbers were 3 and8.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, said: “What an amazing night for one UK ticket holder who has scooped the giant £171m EuroMillions jackpot.

“This winner has just become the third-biggest National Lottery winner of all time and the sixth UK EuroMillions jackpot winner this year.”

The biggest EuroMillions win was £195m in July.
