What’s in bloom?

-

Asters are late-growing favourites. Most have small purple or pink flowers that are held in clusters, which open as other border flowers are beginning to fade. They also work well as prairie plants or in cottage gardens. They associate well with grasses and their seed heads are attractive in winter. Divide them in spring to make more plants.
