It makes me want to shout!

Amid all the doom and gloom of the financial drama this week, it was a delight to talk about something cheerful on the programme after Glasgow made the shortlist to host next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Superfan Adam Robinson came into the studio in a fantastically glittery shirt to battle it out with another superfan in Liverpool. I think they both made a great case, but former Eurovision winner Lulu has endorsed her home city, saying Glasgow deserves to host the contest as “it has the audience with the biggest hearts”. And who’s going to argue with an icon?

I’m away to look out my glitzy shirt.
