(Coffee) grounds for complaint?

-

Angela Gardner is feeling flush after Raw Deal helped save her £600 on a new designer coffee machine.

Earlier in the year she ordered a kitchen from Wren Kitchens costing around £15,000.

“We stipulated to the salesman that all we were providing was the fridge, they were supplying all of the other electrics,” she said.

As part of the design Gardner ordered a top-range coffee maker at a price of £1,458. But she was dismayed when the final bill arrived and the device cost another £600 on top of that.

When the company wouldn’t budge on the deal, Gardner appealed to Raw Deal for assistance.

We contacted Wren Kitchens on her behalf and flagged up the issue. The good news is that it wasn’t long before the company acted and it soon offered her the machine at the original price.

Wren said: “We’ve honoured the price of the coffee machine which was out of stock.”

Gardner said she was grateful to Raw Deal for stepping in.

She added: “They have agreed to let us have the machine at the price agreed when we paid the deposit. Thanks for your help.”
