Although released 13 years later, Finding Dory takes place just 12 months after the events of 2003 smash-hit Finding Nemo. Dory is from a species of surgeonfish known as Paracanthurus hepatus or, in non-scientific language, a blue tang. In real life it is native to the Indo-Pacific, found in coral reefs, measures up to a foot long, and can live for up to 30 years.
