Missing taxi driver, 36, found murdered in the back of her cab

“A murder hunt was launched in Glasgow yesterday after a woman taxi driver was found dead in the back of her cab,” reported The Post.

“Mrs Catherine Ward McChord (36), was discovered by detectives after an all-night search by police and taxi drivers.

“Her husband, Edward, also a taxi driver, asked other drivers to look out for her. The taxi, with the body of Mrs McChord, was found early yesterday morning in Braeside Place, Cambuslang.”

Two months later, the body of a second woman, Elizabeth Walton, 48, was found.

Iain Scoular was found guilty of both murders and served 20 years in prison.
