What are your views on the government’s plan to raise the pension age to 68?

It’s a disgrace. We have one of the worst state pensions in Europe and now they want to save even more money by extending the age you can retire.

William Duthie

It’s not fair, especially for people working in manual jobs. By 68, you’re too knackered to do anything! Hamilton Mclean

I am one of the WASPI (Women Against State Pension Inequality) group where they didn’t give women notice that the age was rising from 60 to 66. I worked out they have done us out of over £50k. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!

Sandra Peterkin

I think the government are trying to force people into more stress and poverty.

Donna Anderson

I’m 50 and the pension age just keeps getting further and further away from me. I’ll be working until I’m 120 at this rate! Rhonda Hill

I worked until I was 73 but it should be flexible. If folk need to retire early they should not be penalised. Elizabeth O’Regan

Life expectancy is decreasing under this government. How can they justify making us work longer for a shorter period left to enjoy our meagre pension? Stephen Calder
