-

Dundee United grabbed an emphatic first league win of the season.

The home side hit visiting Aberdeen with a quick-one-two just before the break.

On 41 minutes Aziz Behich calmly sidefooted home Tony Watt’s attempt from a cut-back after keeper Roos could only parry.

Then Watt himself got on the scoresheet just before half-time by smashing home a ball from Kieran Freeman.

It became three on 72 minutes after Craig Sibbald went down under a Ross McCrorie challenge and a penalty was awared.

Jamie McGrath dispatched from the spot for his first United goal.

McCrorie’s night got even worse when he turned into his own net in the 83rd minute to make it four.
