Celtic boss Billy McNeill was sent to the stand by referee Dr Andrew Waddell after protesting that Aberdeen’s third goal in their 3-1 victory at Parkhead had been allowed to stand.

McNeill believed that Dons striker Mark McGhee was in an offside position when he hit the net.
