Mansfield Park and A.I. Artificial Intelligen­ce actor Frances O’Connor makes her screenwrit­ing and directoria­l debut in this biopic about author Emily Bronte, played by Sex Education’s Emma Mackey.

Focusing on the transforma­tive years leading up to Bronte writing Wuthering Heights, it frames her as a rebel and a misfit, the black sheep of her family. Early reviews from the festival circuit have lauded O’Connor’s style and Mackey’s intense performanc­e.
