The Rings Of Power

Given the extended versions of the Lord Of The Rings and Hobbit movies stretch to an epochal 17 hours, of course the prequel spin-off series would be a slow affair.

At least that’s what I told myself through the first handful of episodes. I’m glad I stuck with it as matters have finally picked up pace in Middle Earth. Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and the gang teamed up for a battle to defend a village from the twisted elf Morgoth...wait, come back!

Look, gnome politics aren’t for everyone but The Rings Of Power is shaping up to be true escapist nonsense in a world which frankly needs escaping right now.
