In Scotland it is very handy to have waterproof shoes or boots – whatever time of year.
Recent walks were awash with puddles and the waterproof and PFC-free membrane on these lightweight multi-purpose shoes worked a treat to keep me dry.
They offer lots of cushioning for rough terrain and the 4mm tread lugs provide plenty of grip so I felt sure of my footing at all times. They feel a bit big and clumsy for trail running but have been fantastic for dog walks and short hikes.
They could be more breathable, though, so best on cooler days.
