I’d propose a period of calm

-

A bride-to-be who posted a picture online of her proposal to her boyfriend says she’s received loads of abuse from women for making the bold move. Sukhmin Garcha from Vancouver said she was really nervous about proposing to her partner but wanted to help “build a new society where gender roles don’t exist”.

So she was surprised when the backlash began with one person saying “they would rather hoover the ocean than propose to a man”. And another claiming “they’d rather die than pop the question to a man”. Ah, the sisterhood. The Suffragettes would be so proud.
