Detectives discover deadly weapons and ammunition in Dundee

-

“Dundee detectives last night found four rifles, a pistol and hundreds of rounds of ammunition stolen a week ago from the Dundee Rifle Club’s range,” reported The Post. “The weapons, ammunition and articles stolen from the club, were found in long grass near old air-raid shelters in the grounds of Manhattan Works, 250 yards from the club. Detectives went there after receiving an anonymous call. The grass area had been searched several times since the weapons were missed. A police officer said the weapons had been in the grass for a short time. Last week the police issued a warning that the weapons could prove fatal – the rifles and pistol hair-triggers.”
