Restaurant of the week

The Tea House Stirling Road, Larbert

-

Location

Right on Larbert Cross, The Tea House is in a great little spot for people coming from all around Larbert and beyond, although the car park is tiny, so finding a space can be a struggle.

First impressions

The decor is beautiful, all gold and luxury furniture. It is clear The Tea House owners have a great eye for design. The restaurant is beautifully laid out, with little gold lattice dividers making the place feel warm, cosy and sophisticated.

Service

There is a small army of staff who are always on hand to help with any requests and will also offer advice on what to choose from the massive menu.

Menu

The selection at The Tea House is second to none. From Chinese to Thai dishes and all Asian-fusion options in between. The favourites include Cantonese style sweet & sour in chicken, king prawn or pork options and skewered satay in fillet of beef, king prawn, chicken and BBQ pork.

My own personal favourites are the salt & chilli shredded crispy chicken or the Malaysian clay pot curry.

Taste

It is no overexaggeration to say that The Tea House is up there with the best Chinese restaurants in Scotland... maybe even the UK. The food is always fresh, the flavours are exceptional and the dishes come packed with fresh vegetables and excellent spices. If you’ve never been, you are missing out!

Ambience

The gorgeous interiors set the tone for The Tea House’s relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere. It’s a great choice for a night out with friends, family, or work colleagues.

Price

On the more expensive side for a Chinese, with mains costing from £12 to £16 but worth every penny.
