Pogsons’ choices are a poser

- By Reg Moore sport@sundaypost.com

The Pogsons have set punters a problem in the Huntingdon seller by running two, and Kanukankan is just preferred to Wotashock.

The father and son team’s seven-year-old was allowed to leave Philip Hobbs, and won first time up for his new connections.

It was only a four-runner Market Rasen affair, but the runner-up had previously won a Perth bumper by 10 lengths.

Admiralty House did us a nice turn at Kempton two weeks ago, and he can follow up for Alan King, despite the French Import, Fils De Roi.

He’s a facile winner in France, but all of his form has been on soft or heavy, and there’s little rain expected today.

Admiralty House was green at Kempton, and will have learned a lot from his two-length win over Age Of Sail, who opposes again.

The handicapper must have been in a good mood when reassessing Barely Famous after his second staying hurdle victory at Hereford.

He’s been raised just 3lb for winning over two-and-a-half miles and bids for a hat-trick, back up to a preferable three miles.
