Elon’s ticked off his Tweeters

Internet searches of how to delete Twitter have surged by 500% since American billionaire Elon Musk bought the company. He’s infuriated a lot of people in the short time he’s been in charge, not least the swathe of senior executives that he’s fired.

But his plan to charge users $8 for the coveted blue tick to verify who you are has gone down like a cup of cold sick. The author Stephen King said Twitter should pay him.

I applied for a blue tick but didn’t get one. I’m not at all bitter, though, just thoroughly enjoying the fight.
