The Beatles dominated the era so no shocks that they topped the end-of-decade list with She Loves You. The second of their 17 chart-toppers, it spent six weeks at No. 1 in 1963 and sold 1.89 million copies by the close of the ’60s, according to the Official Charts Company. The Fabs also had the second biggest-selling song of the decade with I Want To Hold Your Hand but another Liverpudli­an had the third – comedian Ken Dodd, with Tears.
