Who Lives In Scotand?
BBC 1, Tues
With an ageing population and declining birth rate, Scotland is likely to face many social challenges in the years ahead.
Looking at data held by the National
Records of Scotland, host Martin Geissler discovers that Scotland will have twice as many pensioners as youngsters by 2045.
The programme highlights that people in deprived areas have a lower life expectancy than islanders, such as 81-year-old Jean from Orkney who is still teaching piano and working just as hard in her retirement as she did when she worked full time.
Definitely one to watch.
