Homeless cats appeal

A leading cat rescue charity wants to recruit an “army of foster carers” to provide shelter to homeless cats this winter.

Cats Protection says the number of animals on its waiting lists has grown by 20% since this time last year, with fewer people adopting felines due to the cost of living crisis.

The charity has a Scottish network of 24 volunteer-run branches.
