Gregory Mcdonald’s series of comic detective novels between 1974 and 1994 introduced the ex-journalist Irwin Fletcher, played by Chevy Chase in two 1980s big-screen comedy adaptations.

The second of the books has been adapted for a new generation, with Jon Hamm now playing the eponymous hero.

The prime suspect in multiple murders, Fletch strives to prove his innocence while also searching for his fiancé’s stolen art collection.
