Concern over Iran nuclear plan
UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly has warned the threat from Iran’s nuclear programme is “more advanced than ever”.
Addressing a security conference in Bahrain yesterday, Cleverly accused Tehran of spreading bloodshed around the world. He warned that Iraniansupplied weapons are threatening security in the Middle East and beyond.
He said: “Iran’s nuclear programme is more advanced than ever, and the regime has resorted to selling Russia the armed drones that are killing civilians in Ukraine.
“As their people demonstrate against decades of oppression, Iran’s rulers are spreading bloodshed and destruction.”
He said the UK would work to counter the threat.
