Wagatha in the West End
It was dubbed the Wagatha Christie trial, and now the legal showdown between two footballers’ wives has been turned into a West End play.
Coleen Rooney and Rebecca Vardy spent a week in the High Court in London earlier in the year battling it out over who was to blame for leaking stories about Coleen to the press.
The total cost of the trial was reportedly £3 million, with the defeated Vardy having to shoulder most of the costs.
Liz Hennessy, who wrote the play, said it was a story about two intelligent women, but can that really be an appropriate description of this feckless pair who wasted so much money over so little?
