DOUBLE INDEMNITY (1944)

Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwych steam up the screen as an insurance salesman and a gorgeous client who decide to bump off her husband and get double the insurance. Edward G Robinson is the suspicious claims investigator. Cast against type, MacMurray thought that his portrayal would end his career. It turned out to be the best role he ever had in the movies.
