THE BIG SLEEP (1946)

Humphrey Bogart as LA private eye Philip Marlowe with his wife of one year, Lauren Bacall, as his client’s daughter. The plot of the movie is so convoluted that even the scriptwriters had difficulty figuring out the identity of the killer. Don’t worry. The sinister atmosphere, witty dialogue and high-voltage electricity between Bogart and Bacall are thoroughly entertaining.
