“Working on Vera has been a joy from beginning to end and I’m sad to be saying cheerio. But I am so proud of our achievements over the last 14 years. I’ll be forever grateful to the wonderful Ann Cleeves who created Vera, and to Elaine Collins who saw fit to cast me in the role.”

Brenda Blethyn has announced that the upcoming 14th series of ITV’s hit detective show, Vera, will be her last. It will be sad to see the Northumberland copper hang up her trademark trench coat and hat for the final time. Goodbye pet!

“It’s mad because people say they visit you in your dreams... Caz does that quite frequently, actually. It’s surreal, but lovely when those days happen.”

Olly Murs says he misses his late friend, Caroline Flack, but he’s comforted by her appearing in his dreams.

“I’m in this bubble at the moment. I am more open to accepting and being more vulnerable and I’m absolutely enjoying this stage... Before, I was very walls up. All those walls have, like, come down.”

BBC presenter and former footballer Alex Scott is in a good place in her relationship with Jess Glynne.

“There’s one thing that will never stop, and that’s the will. I have this strength within me. For four years I’ve been saying to myself that I’m not going back, that I’m ready, that I’m not ready... As things stand, I can’t stand here and say to you, ‘Yes, in four months’. I don’t know. My body will tell me.”

Music legend Celine Dion, who has the rare condition Stiff Person Syndrome, is determined to return to touring one day.

“If someone didn’t know our situation and came to our house and spent the day with us, they would not have a clue. We get on well, we live together and we co-parent. We will support each other through anything. We get the lawyers back and forth but that’s separate.”

Paddy McGuinness says living arrangements with Christine McGuinness, whom he split from in July 2022, are unconventional but they work for them and their kids.
