You can make a non-al­co­holic ver­sion of this with ap­ple juice, for chil­dren or drivers, but for that I only use six all­spice berries, half the gin­ger, four pieces of or­ange zest and no added su­gar. You can put the spices in a lit­tle bag for this, made out of muslin, but I pre­fer to see them just float­ing in it.
