Inspired by our cover story about the Victorian seaside holiday and the enduring British tradition that followed in its wake? Most of us have fond childhood memories of traditional seaside breaks in Brighton, Margate, Blackpool or Llandudno, with their fun fairs, arcades, donkey rides and picnic lunches seasoned with sand. If you are among them, we’d like to hear your stories and tips – whether they are humorous, nostalgic or just plain useful.

But there are other kinds of travel experiences that evoke a bygone era in Britain. You may have been to the Goodwood Revival or to a vintage air show, say. Perhaps you know of a time-warp pub or heritage railway, a battle reenactment or a display of courtly pursuits at a medieval castle?
