with an ex-partner:

Am I exploring this because there is still love and respect which feels safe and familiar, or because I am afraid of otherwise ending up alone or thinking I can’t
‘get anyone better’?

If we get back together, what will we do about the things which weren’t working before (and caused the break-up)?

Am I reuniting because the alternative seems too hard? (Finalising divorce, moving homes, child
custody etc)

Is this just a function of the pandemic and having lived in a different way to usual? What will happen when things move forward again, in our usual routine?
