SHORT SHORTS

Julia Roberts, 54

-

I don’t know why women over a certain age are urged to wear those weird, frumpy shorts that fall to mid-thigh,

as though being over 50 automatically precludes you

from wanting your legs to look long. Are older women supposed to be terrified of

showing their less than peachy thighs? Stuff that. One of many excellent

things about the body positivity movement is that it has encouraged women of every age, shape and size to blithely walk around in the

shortest shorts, cellulite winking in the sunshine.

Gen-Z is far more at ease with itself than its parents

are: take a leaf out of its book. Short shorts are more

flattering on the leg than mid-length shorts and will always look more youthful than those horrid Boy

Scout ones. LC
